Welcome to the Hippocampo Dive Centre in Sosua and Cabarete, Dominican Republic. You may be thinking it's a strange name for a Dive Centre, but in actual fact hippocampo is Latin for seahorse, a regular visitor to many of our dive sites.

Our dive operation is based in the town of Sosua, Dominican Republic which is in the heart of the Caribbean. We are only 20 kilometers from the Puerto Plata International airport. We currently provide a scuba diving service to several large hotels on the north shore including Cabarete and we are a PADI registered diving centre. All our instructors are fully certified professionals and are multi-lingual individuals.

Priding ourselves on giving 100% customer satisfaction without compromising safety or professionalism, we offer all PADI courses up to Assistant Instructor, guided dives for those certified and a FREE scuba trial for beginners in one of our resort swimming pools. For those who prefer to be above the water we offer great snorkeling excursions.
